On March 30th, Shanghai Fair Committee visited the Business Association of Overseas Vietnamese. Peter Hong, member of the Central Committee of Mat Tran To Quoc Vietnam and Chairman of Business Association of Overseas Vietnamese of Foreign Ministry, warmly welcomed the visit of Shanghai Fair committee. This visit will discuss the cooperation with Business Association of Overseas Vietnamese in 2024.
Beryl Wang, Secretary-General of Shanghai Fair Committee, introduced the achievements of Shanghai Fair going to Thailand— Trade Show 2023 and the progress of Shanghai Fair going to Vietnam— Trade Show 2024, and the Shanghai Fair Business and partner conference (BTPC)— 2024 ESG international cooperation round table conference, and invited the Peter Hong chairman to attend.
Peter Hong introduced that Business Association of Overseas Vietnamese is a chamber of commerce directly under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, with more than 7,400 cooperation units from 40 countries. It is an important organization for the Vietnamese government to serve overseas Vietnamese. He said he and Business Association of Overseas Vietnamese will fully support the 2024 Shanghai Fair going to Vietnam— Trade Show, inviting 50,000 Vietnamese enterprises and six cities around Ho Chi Minh City to participate in the exhibition. At the same time, he said that he has reported Shanghai Fair to the Vietnamese Ho Chi Minh City government, and will report Shanghai Fair during the meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam on April 5, and invited the Deputy Premier to attend the opening ceremony of Shanghai Fair going to Vietnam— Trade Show 2024 and delivered a speech.
Finally, Peter Hong said because this is the first time for Shanghai Fair going to Vietnam and the 30th anniversary of the signing of "sister City" between Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City, the exhibition should not only run the exhibition well, but also make significance.

On the afternoon of April 1st, Shanghai Fair Committee visited People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Investment & Trade Promotion Center (ITPC). Ms. Cao Thi Phi Van, Deputy Director of ITPC, welcomed the visit.
Beryl Wang, Secretary-General of Shanghai Fair Committee, introduced the preparatory progress of Shanghai Fair going to Vietnam— Trade Show 2024. Introduced the three main agendas of this visit, expect to invite ITPC as one of the main foreign partners and invite the leader of ITPC to attend the opening ceremony; hope ITPC will promote the exhibition through official channels including official website, official media and organize local Vietnamese enterprises to visit the exhibition.
Ms. Cao Thi Phi Van, deputy director of ITPC, said that more than 400,000 enterprises from various countries have invested in Ho Chi Minh City, and ITPC is very willing to cooperate with Shanghai Fair Committee. She said trade in agricultural products and food in Ho Chi Minh City is popular, and because Vietnam's main export port is in Ho Chi Minh City, trade in almost all industries is popular; for investment, Ho Chi Minh City welcomes machinery and high-tech industries.

On April 1, Shanghai Fair Committee held the first working meeting with the staff of SKY EXPO Vietnam. The meeting exchanged and discussed the overview of this year's exhibition site, exhibition service and exhibition publicity.
SKY EXPO Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung, Chairman of the Exhibition Center, and Mr. Nguyen Dang Vien, IT Manager Executive Assistant to the Board of Directors, welcome the Shanghai Fair Committee and expressed the hope to choose SKY EXPO as the venue of the exhibition. SKY EXPO will fully cooperate with the work of the exhibition.
Mr. Adam Zhu, project Executive of Shanghai Fair Committee, introduced the plan of the 2024 exhibition.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hung said SKY EXPO will host more than 30 exhibitions every year, and the largest building materials exhibition (VIET BUILDING) will be held in SKY EXPO on August 22 this year. He would fully cooperate with the preparatory work of Shanghai Fair Committee. At the same time, he said SKY EXPO has its own audience organization team, and will inform the needs of the relevant team after the meeting, and provide feedback to Shanghai Fair committee. He mentioned that the exhibition should be approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam. He hoped that we could make preparations in advance or inform them to assist in handling it.

On April 2, Shanghai Fair Committee visited Ms. Kawasaki Minako, Deputy Chief Representative of Japan External Trade Organization Ho Chi Minh City Office (JETRO HCMC).
Ms. Beryl Wang, secretary general of Shanghai Fair Committee, mentioned that she accompanied Mr. Zheng Huiqiang, president of Shanghai Services Federation, to visit the Japanese headquarter of JETRO at the beginning of this year, and introduced that Shanghai Fair 2025 will be held in Osaka, Japan. JETRO will be the main cooperation organization. At the same time, she introduced the preparation of Shanghai Fair going to Vietnam— Trade Show 2024, expecting JETOR HCMC to invite Japanese enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City to participate in fair, and invited the leader to attend the opening ceremony, hoping JETRO providing valuable suggestions on the exhibition.

On the afternoon of April 2, Shanghai Fair Committee visited Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency Ho Chi Minh City Office (KOTRA HCMC). Mr. Joon Kyu, Director General, and Mr. Song Junghoon, Deputy Director, welcomed Shanghai Fair committee.
Ms. Beryl Wang, secretary general of Shanghai Fair Committee, mentioned that 2024 is the 30th anniversary of the "sister city" of Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City, so Shanghai Fair committee has decided to hold Shanghai Fair going to Vietnam— Trade Show 2024 series in Ho Chi Minh City. She introduced the scale and preparation of the exhibition, and invited Mr. Jeong and Mr. Joon Kyu to attend the opening ceremony. In addition, she introduced that Shanghai Fair 2025 will be held in Seoul, South Korea, and KOTRA headquarters will be invited as the main cooperation organization.
Mr. Jeong, Mr.Joon Kyu said that KOTRA HCMC will actively cooperate with the preparatory work of Shanghai Fair Committee, and said there are more than 5,000 Korean enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City engaged in light industry, information technology, automobile, semiconductor, textile, consumer goods and other industries. KOTRA will invite Korean enterprises in Vietnam to visit the exhibition.

On April 3, Shanghai Fair Committee visited Consulate General of The People’s Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City for the first time. Mr. Xu Zhou and Mr.Yang Miao extended a warm welcome to Shanghai Fair Committee.
Ms. Beryl Wang, Secretary General of Shanghai Fair Committee, reported to the Consulate General the preparatory progress of Shanghai Fair going to Vietnam— Trade Show 2024. The year 2024 is the 30th anniversary of the “sister city” between Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City. So Shanghai Fair Trade Show will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for the first time. It is expected that 150 enterprises and nearly 300 entrepreneurs will participate in the exhibition. Shanghai Fair Committee sincerely invites the Consulate General to be the main supporting organization of the exhibition, and expects that the Consul General can come and deliver a speech at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
Mr. Xuzhou, Deputy Consul General of Consulate General of The People’s Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City, had high hopes for the success of the exhibition. He said that last year, Nguyễn Văn Nên, Secretary of the municipal committee of Ho Chi Minh City, led a delegation to visit Shanghai. Mr. Chen Jining, Secretary of the municipal committee of Shanghai, met with the delegation and witnessed the signing of relevant friendly cooperation documents between the two cities. Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan introduced that Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vietnam has a history of more than 40 years, with more than 3,000 direct members and more than 20,000 indirect members. He said Hanoi focuses on heavy industry, while Ho Chi Minh City has more developed consumer goods, light industry, finance and services.
Mr. Ho Ngoc Vinh said Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vietnam Ho Chi Minh City Branch can help apply for exhibition approval, invite guests to attend the opening ceremony, to assist the exhibition publicity, held a press conference and collect the audience data, he hopes Shanghai Fair Committee will send exhibitors detailed list to them and he will be targeted to invite enterprises to participate in the exhibition.

Mr. Peter Hong said that as an important partner of Shanghai Fair, Business Association of Overseas Vietnamese attaches great importance to the exhibition in Vietnam for the first time. At the same time, it is the 30th anniversary of the "sister city" between Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City. He hoped to unite with various forces to make this event effective and make significance.
Mr. Tran Phu Cuong arrived from Hanoi to meet with Shanghai Fair Committee to communicate on the matters and preparations for the event and discuss cooperation opportunities. Mr. Phan Lien, President of the  Vietnamese Enterprise Club, Mr. Le Viet Hai, Vice President, Mr. Hoang Hai Long, and Ms .Nguyen Thi Ngoc Thanh, Director of the Import and Export Committee, warmly welcomed the visit of Shanghai Fair Committee.
Mr. Phan Lien introduced to Shanghai Fair Committee that the club includes Vietnam Automobile, Motorcycle and Bicycle Association, Saigon Building Materials Association and more than 10,000 enterprises. It is one of the largest clubs in Vietnam, covering manufacturing, trade, electronics, materials, food and other industries. At the same time, there are many food and product import and export enterprises, such as Vietnam rice, Vietnam bird's nest, Vietnam coffee and other very much hope to communicate with Chinese enterprises.
